Arinze Chilo-Offiah

Arinze Chilo-Offiah is the Executive Director for Anambra State’s Developmental Finance Agency – Anambra State Small Business Agency (ASBA), with the purview of providing funding and technical assistance to SMMEs in the state.

Arinze Chilo-Offiah has worked as the Executive Director for Anambra State’s Developmental Finance Agency – Anambra State Small Business Agency (ASBA), with the purview of providing funding and technical assistance to SMEs and Microenterprises in the State.

Prior to this, Arinze was the General Manager of Anambra State Investment Promotion and Protection Agency (ANSIPPA), as well as the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Agriculture Investments. Before this, she had spent three years at Afrinvest (West Africa) Limited. Afrinvest is a boutique investment bank specialising in equity and debt capital raise, financial advisory, debt restructuring, project finance, amongst others rising to the level of Senior Analyst/Member of the Afrinvest Strategy Team.

Some of the Landmark projects she advised on include the following: Edo State N25 Billion Debt Issuance Program; the acquisition of a Successor Distribution Company in the FGN, BPE and NERC unbundling of Power Holding Company of Nigeria, divestiture of United Bank for Africa Plc (“UBA”) in line with the CBN repeal of Universal Banking (among many others).

Before this, she had served at Vetiva Capital Management Limited – a Pan-African Investment Banking and Financial Services Company. To this end, she believes her experience has equipped her with the required tools and qualities to be of great value and significance to ANSIPPA.

Arinze studied Finance and Insurance at Northeastern University, Boston. Her areas of specialisation include: financial modeling, capital raising, corporate finance, corporate & marketing presentation and financial forecasting, financial analysis, research, pitching, strategy, cost budgeting analysis & forecasting and business planning. She believes that her practical experience and academic training would thus allow her to contribute to the achievement of the Agency’s objectives. She is eager to learn from seasoned professionals within the Agency and continue to grow and develop personally and professionally.
