Raquel Wilson

Raquel Wilson is Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer at Jetstream Africa, a supply chain platform that simplifies export logistics for African agriculture suppliers. She is based in Dakar, Senegal.

Prior to Jetstream, Raquel co-founded and served as Managing Partner at Lou Bess? Dakar Farmers Market, a first in Senegal, and joined the official Senegalese delegation to Terra Madre 2016, a biennial convening of global food activists working to establish improved food systems.

Raquel serves as adviser and mentor to start-ups across East and West Africa, including Kinaya Lab’s inaugural female founders’ cohort, and was a Fellow at MEST Africa, a pan-African accelerator for tech entrepreneurs. An independent Communications for Development consultant, Raquel worked with UNICEF for more than a decade to implement digital strategy in global, regional and country offices; and was a Diplomat, based in Warsaw, with the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, where she was responsible for leading the deployment of Europe’s first online platform for hate crime monitoring and reporting.

Renowned for connecting people across her expansive network, and building strong, resilient communities, Raquel facilitates partnerships that strengthen cross-border trade for SMEs, and is an expert on technology and leadership development for young women and girls.
